Zeneefa Zaneer is a bilingual writer hailing from Kandy, Sri Lanka

Cutting across genres, she has penned novels, novelettes, short story collections, works of nonfiction, and children’s picture books. Her books narrate family stories that are positive and vibrant life stories through which she can address issues that go beyond comfortable armchair reading. Her short story The Journal secured the first place at annual short story competition in 2011 at Islamic Writers Alliance USA and her manuscript Autumn Leaves was chosen for the second round at Amazon Breakthrough novel awards 2012. Her manuscript They Failed to Kill her was shortlisted for the country’s prestigious literary award for English writers- The Gratiaens Prize 2018. Zeneefa is a happy home-maker and mother of three, engaging in charity organizations by assisting in online fundraising. She also enjoys assisting youth who have a passion for writing.
